What to do while you wait
- Turn off the water at the stopcock. It is usually under the kitchen sink, in a downstairs toilet or where the supply pipe enters the house. Turn it clockwise.
- Switch off electrics near the leak if water is reaching sockets, lights or the consumer unit.
- Open the cold taps to drain the system once the stopcock is off.
- Turn off the boiler if water is leaking from it or the pipes around it.
Smell gas? Leave the property, don't use switches or naked flames, and call the National Gas Emergency Service on 0800 111 999 first. Once the supply is made safe, we can repair the fault.
Emergencies we handle
- Burst and leaking pipes, including pipes split by frost
- Boiler breakdowns, no heating and no hot water
- Leaking tanks, cylinders and overflows
- Blocked toilets, sinks and drains
- Failed ball valves and overflowing cisterns
- Leaks from radiators, valves and appliances
Fixed on the first visit where we can
Our vans carry the tools, fittings and common spares for most repairs, so in most cases the job is finished on the first visit rather than made safe and left. If a part needs ordering, we'll tell you what it is, what it costs, and when we'll be back — and you can choose to buy it yourself if you prefer.
Clear pricing, even at 3am
There is no call-out charge. Before any work starts you get a quote that breaks down labour and materials, and there is no obligation to go ahead until you're happy with it.
